Hermès to unveil its first haute couture collection in January 2027

Published
July 9, 2026

For the venerable House of Hermès, the start of 2027 will usher in two major changes. It was already confirmed that Grace Wales Bonner would present her eagerly awaited first menswear collection during Men’s Fashion Week, succeeding Véronique Nichanian, who designed Hermès menswear for nearly four decades. But the management of the family-owned group had another surprise in store. The storied saddler will unveil its first haute couture collection during Haute Couture Week in January 2027.

The project was well advanced, and Axel Dumas, the group’s executive chairman- with the group reporting revenue of €16 billion in 2025- had hinted at a launch in the near future during the presentation of the 2025 financial results. “We’ve brought in new ateliers. We’ve hired seamstresses. What I’ve seen has been superb. I’m quite excited and proud of the work done by the teams,” he explained at the time, beaming. “But we’ll present it when we’re ready. It has to be finished and unveiled at the right moment.”

The right time for Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski will therefore be January 2027, according to a press release from the fashion house, first shared with WWD. Whilst the luxury fashion market is showing signs of slowing against a global geopolitical backdrop marked by conflict, Haute Couture Week is growing in appeal. This year, the debuts of JW Anderson at Dior, Matthieu Blazy at Chanel, and Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga have notably generated significant excitement. There is little doubt that Hermès’s first haute couture collection, expected to showcase the house’s leather expertise, will likewise command the spotlight.
