Ananya Panday commanded the spotlight as she walked the runway as the showstopper for Punit Balana’s 10-year milestone collection, Amer. The evening was steeped in heritage, with the collection drawing inspiration from Jaipur’s majestic Amer Fort and the Sheesh Mahal, translating their grandeur into couture that shimmered with cultural richness and modern polish.

The showstopper look was the very embodiment of that vision. Ananya Panday appeared in a striking hot pink lehenga, drenched in opulence yet cut with youthful modernity. The ensemble featured intricate coin embroidery, delicate Gota work, and the luminous shimmer of Chandi Till Ka Kaam – techniques that have long defined Rajasthani craftsmanship. The lehenga skirt, alive with ornate patterns, carried the weight of tradition, while the cropped blouse brought a sharp, contemporary edge. Draped lightly over her shoulders, the dupatta completed the look with fluid elegance.

As she walked the candle-lit runway, surrounded by the ambience of fountains and terracotta urns, Ananya glowed under the spotlight. The set mirrored the grandeur of Amer itself, creating a stage where heritage craftsmanship met modern storytelling. Her presence as a showstopper crystallised Punit’s narrative of looking back at tradition while stepping firmly into the present.

Her styling amplified the regality of the look. A statement emerald-and-diamond necklace sat at her collarbone, adding depth and contrast against the vivid pink. The makeup was sharp yet minimal: defined eyes, softly flushed cheeks, and a natural lip that allowed the craftsmanship of the outfit to take centre stage. Her hair, styled sleekly away from her face, only emphasised her poise and the precision of the couture she carried.

What made this moment significant was not just Ananya’s role as muse but the message Punit conveyed through his collection. Amer was more than a celebration of a decade in fashion; it was a reminder that Indian heritage, when reinterpreted with care, could resonate with the modern woman. Ananya Panday, with her fresh elegance and commanding presence, brought that very idea to life.
