Eva Mendes calls out AI image of Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp

'Fake': Eva Mendes calls out AI-generated image falsely showing Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp together at Comic-Con

Eva Mendes has no patience for misinformation about her longtime partner Ryan Gosling. The actress quickly clarified that a viral social media post featuring an alleged image of Gosling and Johnny Depp hanging out together at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend was completely fabricated using artificial intelligence. Mendes’ swift response highlighted growing concerns about AI-generated content being shared without proper disclosure, particularly when it involves public figures.

The Opavisions account on Instagram, which appears to exclusively share AI-generated images and videos featuring a fictional character named Slopaxo interacting with celebrities, posted an apparent image of Ryan Gosling with Johnny Depp and Slopaxo on the streets of San Diego on Sunday. “Some of our favorite moments from Comic-Con weren’t on stage; they were watching Ryan Gosling, Johnny Depp, and Slopaxo moving through the crowds like the unlikeliest best-friend trio,” the user wrote in their caption.

Eva Mendes demands transparency about AI-generated content on social media

Eva Mendes was swift in her correction of the false narrative. “FAKE. Please let People know when you’re putting out AI,” the 2 Fast 2 Furious star wrote in the comments section. Her direct intervention prompted an immediate response from Opavisions, which acknowledged the error and committed to clearer labelling in the future.

Opavisions responded across three separate comments, beginning with an apology. “Ok we will sorry,” the account wrote. In a second comment, the user expressed admiration: “Wow. I’m a big fan. I love your movies.” The account then issued a formal disclaimer in a third response: “DISCLAIMER: THIS WAS AI***. Thank you for saying something. You’re right, and I’ll be more clear going forward. BTW, Ryan’s work has genuinely inspired me for years. The Nice Guys (real SLOPAXO vibes) and Beyond the Pines are some of my favorite films ever and a huge influence on the kind of entertaining stories I love creating one day.”

Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp both appeared at Comic-Con but never crossed paths

Both Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp did appear at San Diego Comic-Con to promote upcoming projects, but there is no evidence suggesting that they ever encountered each other at any point during the event. The stars’ appearances at the convention occurred separately and for distinct purposes.

Johnny Depp promotes ‘Ebenezer’ in character at Comic-Con

Johnny Depp first appeared at a fenced-off Victorian facade covered in fake snow on Fifth Street on Thursday to promote his upcoming Christmas film ‘Ebenezer’. The Pirates of the Caribbean star interacted with fans and other performers while remaining in character as Ebenezer Scrooge, at one point cracking a joke about President Trump’s tariffs. He also joked with a cosplayer dressed as Edward Scissorhands, another character Depp famously portrayed.

On Saturday, Ryan Gosling surprised audiences at Marvel Studios’ climactic Hall H panel, where the superhero studio revealed that he had been cast as Ghost Rider in a new solo film. The movie will be helmed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Ryan Gosling on the upcoming ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’, and is currently slated for a 2028 release.

Eva Mendes celebrates Ryan Gosling’s Ghost Rider casting as ‘perfect’ choice

Eva Mendes starred as Roxanne Simpson, the girlfriend of Nicolas Cage’s Johnny Blaze, in the 2007 adaptation of Marvel’s ‘Ghost Rider’ comics. She commemorated the news of Ryan Gosling’s casting in the franchise by sharing a post that called her partner “perfect casting” for the character. “Love, Roxy,” Eva Mendes wrote, referencing her own iconic role in the original film and expressing enthusiasm for Gosling’s involvement in the superhero universe. The incident involving Eva Mendes and the AI-generated image underscores broader conversations about digital manipulation and the responsibility of content creators to disclose when artificial intelligence is used in creating social media posts, particularly when those posts involve recognizable public figures. <a href=Go to Source
