Several weather-related incidents have been reported from different parts of India amid strong winds and changing weather conditions. In Gujarat’s Jamnagar, a major accident was narrowly avoided when a tower suddenly collapsed on a road due to a violent storm. Fortunately, the incident occurred during the daytime when traffic was light, preventing any casualties. Had vehicles been passing underneath, the outcome could have been disastrous. Meanwhile, in Nainital (Uttarakhand), heavy rainfall and strong winds created a dramatic scene at Naini Lake, where boating activities came to a halt. Boats were seen colliding due to turbulent waters, causing distress among tourists. The lake area was covered in mist and heavy rain, making visibility poor and disrupting tourism. In another development from Joshimath, heavy tourist movement has led to massive traffic congestion. Long queues of vehicles were seen on hilly roads, especially on routes leading to the Char Dham circuit. Tourists trying to escape the heat faced hours-long traffic jams, adding to travel difficulties in the hill regions.
