Volkswagen India has introduced a new ‘flash red ’ colour for its Virtus and Taigun GT Line variants, coinciding with the Onam festivities in Kerala.

According to the company’s statement, key features on the GT Line include a 25.65 cm VW Play touchscreen infotainment system, a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, R17 ‘Cassino’ black alloy wheels, six airbags, hill start assist, and smart touch Climatronic auto AC.

Kerala has been a key market for Volkswagen, with the Virtus commanding nearly half the segment share in premium sedans. “Kerala’s discerning customers have made the Virtus the highest selling premium sedan in the state with a 49 per cent segment share. We are delighted to celebrate the spirit of Onam with this new colour,” said Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India.

Marking the festive season, Volkswagen also delivered 106 cars to customers on the auspicious occasion of Chingam 1st.

Volkswagen currently offers four models in India — Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan R-Line, and Golf GTI.
