The X6 M60i features BMW Operating System 8.5 on a curved display with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen.BMW India on Friday launched the new X6 M60i xDrive in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹1.77 crore. Available as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU), the flagship Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) combines coupe-inspired styling with a 530 hp mild-hybrid V8 petrol engine, M-tuned driving dynamics, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a host of connected-car technologies.
At the heart of the SUV is a 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The powertrain produces 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque, and is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Power is sent to all four wheels through BMW’s rear-biased M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with M Sport Differential, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The engine is supported by Adaptive M Suspension, Integral Active Steering, M Sport brakes, M Sport exhaust system and the M Aerodynamics package to deliver sharper handling and high-speed stability.
Performance-led design, luxury cabin
The exterior features BMW Adaptive LED Headlights with no-dazzle high beam, soft-close doors, Welcome Light Carpet, M Sport Package Pro and expanded exterior mirror package. Riding on 21-inch M light-alloy wheels with staggered run-flat tyres, the X6 M60i underscores its performance-oriented character. Inside, the SUV is equipped with electrically adjustable comfort seats with ventilation and memory, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting with illuminated M graphics, an M leather steering wheel, Sensafin upholstery and 2.5-zone automatic climate control. Buyers can also opt for features such as front-seat massage function, CraftedClarity crystal interior elements and BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery.
Digital cockpit and connected features
The X6 M60i comes with BMW Operating System 8.5 housed within the curved display setup comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen. The infotainment package includes BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Remote Software Upgrades, MyBMW app connectivity, Digital Key Plus, navigation with real-time traffic information and wireless smartphone integration. Other technology features include a Head-Up Display with Augmented View, Parking Assistant Professional with remote parking capability, 360-degree surround-view cameras with Drive Recorder, Harman Kardon 16-speaker surround sound system, wireless charging and Personal eSIM support.
ADAS-backed safety suite
On the safety front, the SUV is equipped with BMW Driving Assistant, featuring Lane Departure and Lane Change Warning, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Rear Collision Prevention. Additional safety equipment includes multiple airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Brake Control, Active Protection with attentiveness assistant, tyre pressure monitoring system and Active Park Distance Control.
The new X6 M60i xDrive is offered in six metallic exterior colours—Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey, Mineral White, Isle of Man Green, Aventurine Red and Manhattan.
With the launch of the new X6 M60i xDrive, BMW aims to strengthen its position in India’s high-performance luxury SUV segment by offering a blend of V8 performance, premium luxury, connected technologies and advanced driver assistance features.
