Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) on Saturday announced the launch of the Honda ZR-V e:HEV at an introductory price of ₹47.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and commenced deliveries of the premium hybrid SUV in the country.

According to the company, the new hybrid SUV, the ZR-V e:HEV, has been launched as Honda’s flagship SUV in India and is imported from Japan as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The ZR-V e:HEV is powered by Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV Sports Hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined maximum power of 184 PS at 5,000-6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 315 Nm at 0-2,000 rpm. It offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.80 km/l and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

“Positioned as our flagship model in the India line-up, ZR-V embodies Honda’s global advancements in Strong Hybrid technology, design, comfort and safety, offering customers a truly sophisticated and engaging driving experience,” said Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd.

“The enthusiastic response to the ZR-V pre-bookings, with the first two batches for the Indian market already booked, has been extremely encouraging,” he added.

The company said the model has recorded cumulative global sales of more than 800,000 units since 2022 and is aimed at customers seeking a premium hybrid SUV.

The all-new ZR-V is offered with a three-year unlimited-kilometre standard warranty and three years of complimentary roadside assistance (RSA). Customers can also opt for an extended warranty of up to seven years, while the Anytime Warranty programme provides coverage of up to 10 years or 120,000 km.

The lithium-ion battery is covered by an eight-year/160,000 km warranty, while hybrid system components are covered for five years/100,000 km, whichever is earlier.
