India faces tougher competition for 2036 Olympics as South Africa officially joins race

Unlike India, South Africa has cast a wider net by bidding for the 2036 as well as the 2040 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, hosting to land at least one of the two and become the first African nation to host the mega sporting event.
