Ronnie Wood asked to repaint his home’s main door from pink to black

Rolling Stones lead Ronnie Wood has been ordered to repaint his door. The famed singer, who purchased the GBP 7 million mansion years ago, had kept his main door a bright hue of pink; however, as per the latest reports, authorities have ordered him to repaint it back to black.

Ronnie Wood ordered to repaint his mansion’s main door

The Daily Mail reported that Ronnie Wood has been served an official notice to change the color of his home’s main door from pink to black. A statement from the report mentioned that “The council does not like your door being painted a different colour. They like them black.”Another part of the report revealed that the pink hue that Wood has had his door in is being called inappropriate or out of place for the neighbourhood that he lives in.The request came after someone took a photo of his door and complained, which led the council in the area to send him a notice to repaint it. Wood had also applied for their approval in the matter; however, he was told to paint it a neutral color. It was also shared that his neighbour has also painted their main door in a bright orange colour, while people living in surrounding areas have also opted to paint it in different colours to keep the space lively.

Ronnie Wood not the only person asked to repaint his door

Many of the people in the neighbourhood have been asked to repaint their doors. In a statement shared by the publication, one of the residents in the area, they revealed that “I’m 97, but I still argue with the council. A neighbour had a shocking pink door, and a lady further down had blue because she liked our blue.” Angela Allen, who has won a BAFTA for her work as a film continuity supervisor, stated that almost half a decade ago she had painted her door blue. However, now she is being ordered to get it repainted, or else she will be slapped with a fine of GBP 30 thousand.A statement about the matter from a council spokesperson stated, “These properties form part of a distinctive group of listed buildings within a conservation area, and we have advised residents that changes affecting their historic character may require consent.”
