The show took place at Hamleys, the world’s most iconic toy store, an inspired setting that embodied the collection’s exploration of nostalgia and memory. “There was this feeling of nostalgia in the collection. This girl went back to her grandmother’s home after many years, and it evoked these childhood memories. The same feeling came when you entered Hamleys; everyone was transported back. It felt like the right emotional connection,” shares Anamika Khanna.

Indian designer Anamika Khanna’s label, AK|OK, made its highly anticipated debut at London Fashion Week.

The global style icon and one of Anamika Khanna’s favourite muses, Sonam Kapoor, looked timeless in the AK|OK Spring/Summer 2026 creation. Celebrating nostalgia with heritage in a statement long coat, trousers and a crisp white shirt with drape detailing, Sonam matched the show’s vibe with her charming personality. The highlight of this printed, alluring ensemble was the intricately crafted jewelled brooch pinned on the white drape. This look revealed a fresh way to style coats, tops, and jewellery in a modern context. Sonam completed her London Fashion Week stylish look with silver dangler earrings that added timeless allure to her AK|OK look.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez exuded glamour chic at the show in an oversized printed blazer paired with matching shorts. The multi-coloured prints stood out in multiple pieces in the collection. AK|OK’s bold, graphic prints in the collection drew inspiration from Indian mythology and astrology. Jacqueline accessorised with a gold necklace that resembled a modern-day tie. Talk about dressing up for work in style! AK|OK has you covered!

AK|OK’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a heartfelt exploration of nostalgia and heritage, weaving together memories from a young woman’s return to her grandmother’s home in Rajasthan. Speaking about challenging the assumption that Indian fashion is too ethnic or too formal, Anamika shares, “For so many years, eastern culture has been perceived as costume, not wearable in everyday life. But whenever I use jewellery, people want to wear it with jeans. It’s about looking at these elements in a modern way, whether they belong today.”
