Paul Smith and Gabriela Hearst launched on Thursday a limited-edition collaborative collection inspired by nature, craftsmanship and personal family histories.

The capsule spans 14 men’s and womenswear pieces alongside accessories, blending Paul Smith’s British tailoring heritage with Gabriela Hearst’s focus on artisanal production and sustainable design.
The collection draws inspiration from two archival photographs taken by Paul Smith’s father in the British countryside during the 1950s and 1960s – one depicting a mountain landscape and the other a waterfall – now serving as the narrative thread of the collection, reflecting their personal histories and the values that connect them.
Key pieces include silk satin trench coats, bias-cut slip dresses and Italian-made virgin wool barré suiting featuring abstract all-over prints inspired by natural scenery.
The collaboration also incorporates hand-crafted knitwear produced by Manos del Uruguay, a nonprofit cooperative supporting economic independence for women in rural Uruguay. Soft cashmere crewnecks made from spaced-dyed Welfat yarn were hand-knit as part of the project.
Completing the collection are accessories including reimagined versions of Gabriela Hearst’s signature Nina and Demi top-handle bags.
The collection launches with a campaign, photographed by Cathy Kasterine and styled by Camilla Nickerson, featuring artists, musicians and creatives.
Founded in Nottingham in 1970, Paul Smith has grown into one of Britain’s leading independent fashion companies, operating more than 140 stores across over 50 countries. The brand is widely recognized for combining classic tailoring with playful detailing and a distinctly global creative perspective.
Hearst launched her namesake label in 2015 with a focus on what she describes as “honest luxury,” combining high-end craftsmanship with sustainability and responsible sourcing. Hearst previously served as creative director of Chloé and has received multiple industry honors, including the 2020 CFDA American Womenswear Designer of the Year award.
The collection will be available through Paul Smith boutiques and the brand’s online store, as well as Gabriela Hearst flagship locations in Beverly Hills, New York and London.
