Negligence: Six-Year-Old Dies After Falling Into 15-Foot Pit in Greater Noida, Contractor Arrested

A six-year-old child died after falling into a 15-foot-deep water-filled pit near Kaladham Society in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida. The pit was reportedly dug by the Greater Noida Authority for pipeline and boring work and became filled with rainwater. Local residents alleged that there were no barricades, warning signs, or safety arrangements around the site, leading to the tragic accident. Residents blamed the authority’s negligence, stating that proper safety measures could have prevented the child’s death.
