Michelle Yeoh, the ‘Blade Runner 2099’ star, revealed the person she would like to play in a biopic. Without any hesitation, the 63-year-old actress named the renowned Japanese musician Yoko Ono, who was also married to The Beatles star John Lennon. Michelle Yeoh opened up about her one true wish to play a person in a biopic during the San Diego Comic-Con 2026 studio interview with Entertainment Weekly, along with her ‘Blade Runner 2099’ co-star Hunter Schafer. When asked, “person you’d like to play in a biopic,” the Academy Award-winning actress said, “Yoko Ono,” in a heartbeat.When followed up with the favourite song from ‘The Beatles,’ in the idea of portraying John Lennon’s widow, she said, “That’s really hard. I’m blanking out. I know the Beatles! I know the Beatles so well, but right now [mimed her brain blanking out],” while laughing at the situation. “Yoko is funny,” she concluded. As for Hunter Schafer, she could not easily come up with an answer. “That’s really hard,” the ‘Euphoria’ star said, adding, “It wouldn’t work, but in a dream world, Bjork.”

At the San Diego Comic-Con, the makers unveiled the teaser for the dystopian futuristic series, ‘Blade Runner 2099.’ Created by Silka Luisa, the cast includes Hunter Schafer as Cora and Michelle Yeoh as Olwen. In Los Angeles, fugitive-turned-Blade Runner Cora is forced to cooperate with a Replicant, Olwen, to track down the runaway hiding the truth that would bring down the fragile city.
