Breaking News: Young MPs to Lead Debate as Government Tables Exam Reform Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha

The Central Government is set to introduce the Examination Reform Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, with Union Minister Jitendra Singh scheduled to table the legislation during the ongoing Monsoon Session. The proposed bill aims to strengthen the legal framework against examination malpractice and paper leaks, while reinforcing transparency and accountability in the country’s competitive examination system. According to government sources, the debate on the bill will prominently feature young Members of Parliament from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), reflecting the government’s focus on engaging younger lawmakers in discussions related to education and youth-centric reforms. BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Tejasvi Surya are expected to participate in the debate, alongside representatives from several NDA allies. Leaders from alliance partners, including TDP’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh), Shiv Sena’s Dr. Shrikant Shinde, NCP’s Sunil Tatkare, Apna Dal (S)’s Anupriya Patel, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)’s Arun Bharti, are also expected to speak during the discussion. Their participation is likely to highlight the government’s collective approach toward strengthening examination integrity and addressing concerns raised by students across the country. The bill is expected to focus on stricter penalties for paper leak offences, faster investigation and trial mechanisms, and stronger safeguards to ensure fair and secure examinations. If parliamentary proceedings continue without major disruptions, discussions on the legislation could begin immediately after its introduction, with the government aiming for its early passage during the current session.
