A shocking double murder case has come to light from Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, where a young woman and her lover were brutally killed in an alleged honour killing. The incident occurred on January 18 in the Pakbada police station area, spreading panic across the region. According to police, the victims—identified as Kajal and Arman—were in a romantic relationship, which was opposed by the woman’s family. Investigations revealed that Arman had gone to meet Kajal when her family members spotted them together. Enraged by the relationship, Kajal’s two brothers allegedly murdered both Kajal and Arman. In an attempt to destroy evidence, the accused buried the bodies in a forest area around two kilometres away from the village. The crime came to light after Arman went missing and his family filed a missing person complaint. Following suspicion, police detained Kajal’s brothers and questioned them, during which they reportedly confessed to the crime. Both bodies have since been recovered, post-mortem examinations conducted, and the accused formally arrested. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to identify any additional involvement.
