‘Ramayana’: Designer Rimple Narula shares BTS moments with Ranbir Kapoor, says, “Memorable Moment”

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up to bring his grand vision of ‘Ramayana’ to life, a star-packed epic that has already become one of the most talked-about upcoming releases. Slated to hit theaters this Diwali, the film will unfold over two installments, showcasing majestic sets and amazingly designed costumes. Offering fans a sneak peek into the creative process, designer Rimple Narula recently shared some behind-the-scenes picture from the production.

Taking to Instagram, the designer delighted fans by sharing a set of candid photographs with Ranbir Kapoor. Alongside the photos, she opened up about her journey working on the much-awaited ‘Ramayana’, expressing her excitement in the caption, “Working on a film set—especially for something as big as Ramayana is incredible. And getting a picture with Ranbir Kapoor is definitely a memorable moment,” adding, “#ranbirkapoorlove #mumbai.”

Ranbir and Rimple happily posed for the camera; the actor donned a black shirt paired with short pants and a white cap to complete his casual look. Rimple, on the other hand, looked elegant in an off-white ensemble. She chose to set the post to Ranbir’s song “Tere Pyaar Mein” from his 2023 film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.

Ramayana’s massive budget and Christopher Nolan rumours

The buzz around the upcoming magnum opus continues to grow, with reports suggesting that the film’s budget touches a staggering Rs 4,000 crore, potentially making it the most expensive movie ever produced in India. Adding an international twist, rumours hint that celebrated Hollywood director Christopher Nolan has been brought on board to guide the final edit and post-production process. Social media chatter further claims that producer Namit Malhotra has enlisted Nolan’s expertise for a prolonged post-production phase. There’s also speculation that Nolan will collaborate once again with his frequent partner and cinematographer, Hoyte van Hoytema, for a 72-day stint starting in August 2026 to elevate the film’s technical finesse and visual majesty.

‘Ramayana’ cast and release details revealed
