Hrithik’s blink-and-miss cameo appearance in ‘Alpha’ sends fans into a frenzy

Hrithik Roshan's blink-and-miss cameo appearance in 'Alpha' trailer sends fans into a frenzy: 'Kabir nation wake up'

Yash Raj Films finally dropped the much-awaited trailer of ‘Alpha’ on Wednesday, offering audiences a glimpse into the latest chapter of its expanding Spy Universe. While the 2.33 minute trailer showcases Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in high-octane action sequences as deadly operatives hunting a common adversary, a fleeting moment featuring Hrithik Roshan ended up dominating online conversations. The trailer packs in explosive action, stylish visuals and intriguing character moments, but fans quickly focused on a mysterious light eyed character shown towards the end. Within minutes of the trailer’s release, social media flooded with theories linking the brief appearance to Hrithik’s iconic spy character, Major Kabir Dhaliwal.

Light eyes from the ‘Alpha’ trailer that sent fans into a frenzy

Towards the climax of the trailer, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are seen in the middle of an intense action sequence. As the scene unfolds, the camera briefly cuts to an individual seated on the floor, draped in a white robe. The face remains hidden, but a close-up of piercing eyes was enough for eagle-eyed viewers to believe that Kabir from ‘War’ had arrived in the world of ‘Alpha’. Although the makers have not officially confirmed the identity of the mysterious character, many fans are convinced that the glimpse was deliberately included to tease Hrithik Roshan’s presence in the film.

Social media declares Kabir’s return

The internet wasted no time reacting to the surprise tease. One fan wrote, “Alpha trailer surprised me. Alia is looking strong, the VFX are much better than ‘War 2’, action looks solid, Bobby & Anil fit their roles well, & that Major Kabir tease at the end… got me.”Another user admitted, “Will be seated for these eyes only!” While a third commented, “Hrithik holds so much aura with just his eyes! Kabir nation wake up!” A fan also confidently declared, “So Hrithik cameo is final!”For many viewers, those few seconds overshadowed everything else in the teaser, and discussions largely revolved around how Major Kabir could fit into the storyline of ‘Alpha’.

Why are fans connecting the dots after the ‘Alpha’ trailer release?

The speculation is hardly surprising considering Major Kabir Dhaliwal remains one of the most important characters in the YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik Roshan first introduced the character in ‘War’ and later returned as the lead protagonist in ‘War 2’. Given the franchise’s interconnected nature, fans believe Kabir’s appearance in ‘Alpha’ could bridge existing and upcoming films within the universe.

About ‘Alpha’

Directed by Shiv Rawail, ‘Alpha’ marks the seventh instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. The screenplay has been penned by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan, while Ishita Moitra has written the dialogues. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Akshaye Widhani, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 3. Whether the mysterious eyes truly belong to Major Kabir or are simply a clever misdirection remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Hrithik Roshan’s blink-and-miss appearance has become the most discussed moment from the ‘Alpha’ teaser.
