Pakistanis top fake LGBT asylum claims in UK, BBC investigation reveals

The report states that in 2023 alone, around 3,430 asylum claims were made in UK on the basis of sexual orientation, with 42% submitted by Pakistanis. In contrast, Pakistanis account for only about 6% of overall asylum applications.
