Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s son-in-law Sabareesan’s father, Vedhamoorthy (81), passed away in Chennai after prolonged illness.

Sabareesan is the husband of Stalin’s daughter Senthamarai. Sabareesan and Senthamarai reside in Neelankarai, Chennai.

Vedhamoorthy, a retired bank officer from Ariyanayagipuram near Mukkudal in Tirunelveli district, was admitted to a private hospital on Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai, due to ill health and passed away at midnight.

His body is currently at his residence in AGS Colony, Kottivakam, for tributes. The last rites will be held on Friday. This tragedy follows the recent death of Chief Minister Stalin’s brother, M.K. Muthu, also due to ill health.
