The prices announced are for the diesel manual variants.New Delhi: Tata Motors launched the Ultra and Red Dark Editions of its popular SUVs Harrier and Safari in diesel powertrains, expanding the availability of the Ultra trim beyond petrol variants.
The Harrier Ultra diesel is priced from ₹23.84 lakh, while the Safari Ultra diesel Red Dark Edition starts at ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices announced are for the diesel manual variants.
Until now, the Ultra trims were offered only with Tata Motors’ newly introduced turbo-petrol engines.
The company said the diesel Ultra variants of Harrier and Safari feature a 36.9 cm cinematic infotainment system by Harman, powered by Samsung Neo QLED, paired with Dolby Atmos audio. Other additions include the VisioneX E-IRVM with integrated dashcam and DVR, VisionSync memory ORVMs with auto reverse dip, and a ClearView dual camera washer to improve visibility. The SUVs also get built-in navigation powered by Mappls Auto.
The launch comes as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported a 31.12 per cent rise in total sales at 59,701 units in April 2026, compared with 45,532 units in the same month last year.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 59,000 units, up 30.5 per cent from 45,199 units a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. International passenger vehicle sales rose to 701 units from 333 units, registering a growth of 110.5 per cent.
