Tata Motors’ compact SUV duo — Punch and Nexon continued to anchor its passenger vehicle portfolio in the second quarter of FY26, with a combined 86,782 units sold in the domestic market between July and September 2025, according to data shared by Tata Motors with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Monday.

Following the UVC duo, Tata Motors’ compact car portfolio, which includes the Tiago, Tigor, and Altroz contributed 33,918 units in domestic sales during the July–September 2025 quarter, up from 27,391 units in the same period last year.

The growth underscores steady demand in the small-car segment despite the broader consumer shift towards SUVs.

The company’s larger SUVs — Safari and Harrier also saw volumes rise to 14,215 units from 11,187 units a year earlier, reflecting sustained traction in the premium SUV category.

Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle portfolio also reported a stable performance in the July–September 2025 quarter, led by its small commercial vehicles and pick-ups. The N1-A1 category (Ace range) recorded 19,997 units in domestic sales, up from 18,867 units a year earlier, while the N1-A2 segment (Yodha, Intra and others) rose to 14,735 units from 12,532 units.
