A video of a man bathing inside a train has once again reignited the debate around bizarre viral trends and how far people are willing to go for online attention. The clip, which shows the man casually showering near the coach’s toilet area with a bucket and mug, spread rapidly across social media, leaving viewers shocked and amused in equal measure. What looked like a strange attempt at comedy has now turned into a case file for railway authorities. Officials confirmed that they have identified the man seen in the video.”The identity of the individual who made a video of bathing inside a train at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station has been ascertained. It has been admitted by this individual that such an act was done to gain popularity by creating a reel. Legal action is being taken against the aforementioned individual by the RPF.”Passengers who witnessed the incident said they were stunned to see the man lathering himself with soap in the middle of the corridor. The video quickly caught the attention of many online users, who criticised the behaviour as disrespectful and a misuse of public property.Railway officials have urged passengers not to misuse trains for “reels” or stunts that disturb fellow travellers. “North Central Railway requests all passengers not to engage in any such act that is inappropriate and also inconvenient for other passengers.” The RPF has already initiated action, reminding social media–obsessed travellers that going viral should not come at the cost of public decorum. This isn’t the first time such behaviour has surfaced, pointing to a larger civic sense problem rather than just one individual’s stunt. Similar incidents online show how casually public spaces are treated. The episode serves as another reminder that cleanliness and decorum are shared responsibilities, not optional choices.
