A meeting between Chaudhary and VIP leader Mukesh Sahani confirmed that the RJD, Congress, and VIP will jointly back Tej Pratap’s candidate, significantly strengthening his chances of victory.Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a new campaign to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. In a post on social media, Akhilesh urged supporters to act as “PDA Praharis” — protectors of democracy — ensuring every vote is secured. The party has begun appointing these praharis at the sector and booth levels, with direct monitoring by Akhilesh himself. SP MP Dimple Yadav also criticized the government, claiming it is undermining India’s democratic framework by manipulating voter lists ahead of the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections.
