Addressing the gathering, Bhagwat said, “Today we call ourselves different, but no matter which religion or language we associate with, the truth is we are all one, we are Hindus.“
“But the clever Britishers fought and ruled us, taking away our spiritual conscience and giving us materialistic things. Since then, we have considered ourselves different from one another,” the RSS chief said.
“Sometimes, people who don‘t consider themselves Hindus go abroad, yet the world still calls them Hindus. This surprises them, as they try their best not to be identified as such. But the truth is, they are Hindus,” he added.
Speaking about the Sindhi community, Bhagwat remarked, “Many Sindhi people here didn‘t move to Pakistan, which was part of undivided India. The new generation should reflect on this. That is our second home, where our belongings and spaces were taken by others, but one day, we will reclaim them as they rightfully belong to us.“
Emphasising the importance of spiritual knowledge, the RSS chief said, “In order to attain true independence, one should implement India‘s spiritual knowledge in daily life.“
“India can teach the world about peace and prosperity,” he added.
