The Shillong Teer lottery blends the ancient sport of archery with the excitement of cash rewards. Highly popular in Meghalaya, it provides enticing prizes while also encouraging the preservation and practice of traditional archery.

HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?

The Shillong Teer lottery is conducted in two short rounds, each lasting approximately two minutes. In the first round, expert archers shoot 30 arrows, followed by 20 arrows in the second round. Participants place their bets by choosing a number between 0 and 99, predicting how many arrows will hit the target.

Tickets are sold at authorised counters in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50. The prize amount varies based on the ticket price and the accuracy of the prediction.

For instance, a correct guess in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket wins Rs 80, while an accurate prediction in the second round pays Rs 60. Players who correctly predict both rounds can earn up to Rs 4,000 from just a Rs 1 ticket.

Besides Shillong Teer, other popular Teer games include Juwai Teer, Khanapara Teer, Ladrymbai Teer and Night Teer.
