Panic gripped Etah after a man’s dismembered body was found at his neighbour’s house. The man had been missing since Sunday. Police tracked his location via mobile phone.

Panic spread when the dismembered body of a 50-year-old man was found stuffed in a trunk at his neighbour’s house. The incident is reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Etah; the man was missing since Sunday evening.
The police on Monday informed that they were able to track the body through mobile location. When the victim’s phone was tracked, the police were led to his neighbour’s house in the Malawan area, near his own home.

The victim, identified as Jujhar Singh, was reported missing by his family on Sunday. Police put his mobile phone on surveillance, and its location pointed to the house of neighbour Indrapal Singh, Circle Officer (Sakeet) Kirtika Singh said.
Accused Absconding
On searching the premises, police found Jujhar Singh’s dismembered body stuffed inside a large trunk. The heinous incident caused panic in the area and a large crowd gathered near the locality.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Indrapal Singh’s family managed to abscond.
As per the police, efforts are underway to ascertain the motive behind the killing while a formal complaint in the case was yet to be received.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shyam Narayan Singh also reached the spot and conducted an inspection and directed strict action in the case.
UP Man Sentenced to Life for Murdering His Daughters
A man in UP’s Sant Kabir Nagar has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his three minor daughters. His accomplice in the crime was also handed a similar sentence.
“District and Sessions Judge Mohan Lal Vishwakarma delivered the judgment on Saturday, also imposing a fine of Rs 35,000 on each of the accused,” government advocate Vishal Srivastava was quoted as saying by PTI.
This conviction concludes a case that began on May 31, 2020.
“On the day of the crime, Sarfraz and his friend, Niraj Maurya, took three of his daughters — Sana (7), Saba (4.5), and Shama (2.5) — on a motorcycle under the pretence of taking them for medical treatment. Instead, they allegedly threw the three young girls into the Saryu River near Birhalghat in the Dhanghata police station area before returning home without them,” Srivastava added.
