‘This Is Just The Beginning’: Abhijeet Dipke In Video Message Day After CJP Ends Protest

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke shared a video message on Sunday morning, thanking his supporters a day after the outfit called off the protests over the NEET paper leak.

In the video message, Dipke, who has been down with typhoid, said that it was “just the beginning” for CJP and that the outfit has a “long way to go.”

CJP had ended its 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar and across the country on Saturday following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as Union Education Minister, which was one of the key demands of the protesters.

CJP Agitation Ends After Three Rounds Of Talks

The announcement came after the third round of talks between CJP representatives and Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. The two sides also agreed to meet again after four weeks to discuss broader reforms in the examination system.

Announcing the decision, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the agitation was being withdrawn “in good faith.”

“The CJP declares that we withdraw the agitation in good faith and understanding that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timeline,” Das said at a joint press conference.

The CJP launched its sit-in at Jantar Mantar on June 20, demanding accountability over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, irregularities in the CBSE’s on-screen marking process, and wider reforms in the conduct of public examinations.

The movement drew support from students across the country, opposition parties, and activist Sonam Wangchuk, who observed a 26-day hunger strike before ending it after receiving government assurances.

The agitation intensified after police action during the July 20 “Sansad Chalo” march, which saw the use of tear gas and lathicharge, leading to fresh negotiations between the Centre and the CJP.
