Ram Temple Donation Theft: Digvijaya Singh Demands Trust Dissolution, Questions Delay in Action Against Senior Officials

Political tensions have intensified over the alleged donation theft at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh questioning the delay in action against senior members of the Ram Temple Trust. Ahead of the Trust’s crucial meeting scheduled for 3:00 PM, Digvijaya Singh alleged that no FIR has been registered against Trust General Secretary Champat Rai or senior member Anil Mishra despite what he described as “substantial evidence” against them. He accused both the Uttar Pradesh government and the Central government of attempting to shield the two leaders from legal action. Singh also demanded that the entire Ram Temple Trust be dissolved, arguing that merely discussing the acceptance of resignations would not address the core allegations. According to him, any evidence collected by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) should be made public to ensure transparency and restore public confidence. The Congress leader further questioned the pace of the investigation, claiming that despite several allegations and statements emerging in the public domain, no concrete legal action has been initiated against the senior Trust officials. He urged authorities to disclose the findings of the SIT probe and clarify what evidence has been gathered so far. The remarks come ahead of the Trust’s high-stakes meeting, where members are expected to deliberate on key developments related to the alleged donation theft case, including the resignations of senior office-bearers and the progress of the ongoing investigation. The outcome of the meeting is being closely watched, as it is expected to shape the Trust’s response to one of the most significant controversies surrounding the Ram Temple since its inauguration.
