In 2019, during one of the flash floods in Mumbai, many celebrities came forward at the time to donate money to help people. The late Lata Mangeshkar had shared Rs 11 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund at the time, while Aamir Khan had contributed Rs 25 lakhs. The relief fund was used to provide shelter and food to families and people who had lost their dwellings during the floods.

When many daily wage workers were left with no job and no income to survive because of the pandemic, he donated money and had it directly transferred into their accounts.
