Christopher Nolan’s latest project, ‘The Odyssey’, has created quite a lot of buzz in the market. With the release date approaching soon, fans have been left wondering about the project and have been awaiting more information. In one of his latest interviews, Tom Holland, who is also gearing up for the release of hjis next superhero film, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, revealed some details about what it was like to work on the film.However, the actor revealed that he almost thought that the renowned director did not like him on the first day of the shoot.

Tom Holland reveals how his first day of filming ‘The Odyssey’ was

Tom Holland reveals that he was not the most confident on his first day on the‘The Odyssey’ sets. He revealed that during the shoot, the director kept calling cut on his shots the most, which made him believe that something was wrong. While in conversation with Fandango, he revealed that the situation made him feel as if Nolan hated him and his acting on the sets of the film on the first day.However, he was later relived to find that the cuts were being made so that the IMAX cameras worked properly. He shared, “Working with the Imax cameras for the first time is an experience. It is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and I didn’t know that it only ran for three minutes. So, I remember you would continue cutting, and I was with Jon [Bernthal], like, ‘Why does he keep cutting? Why does he keep doing that?’”However, at the time, the thought had not registered in the actor’s mind and had led him to a dark place instead where he felt that Nolan had hated his work in front of the camera. He shared, “And in my head, I was like, ‘Does he not like what we’re doing? What is happening?’ And then, I remember it was actually [stunt coordinator] George Cottle that was like, ‘No, no, no, there’s only three minutes in the mag.’ I was like, ‘Oh, thank god.’ I thought I was totally s******** the bed in this scene.”

How filming ‘The Odyssey’ was like for Tom Holland

In another interview with GQ, the actor further shared that it was one of the greatest experiences he has had working with Christopher Nolan. He added at the time that, “Working with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic. I’ve never seen someone that can work the way that they do, and there is a reason why they’re the best in the business for sure”. He also shared that it was amazing to see the director in his element working on the film and with all of the actors that were present on set.Christopher Nolan is one of the most revered filmmakers, and is highly known for his skillset and for creating blockbuster films.
