A controversy emerged during a visit by Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar to Patna Medical College and Hospital, where he was scheduled to inaugurate facilities in the radiology department. While preparations for the event had reportedly been completed, the hospital principal was allegedly absent during the visit and did not respond to the minister’s phone calls. Expressing displeasure over the situation, the minister warned that action could be taken against officials found negligent in their duties. During the visit, several patients and attendants also approached him with complaints regarding hospital services and medical expenses. The incident brought attention to administrative and healthcare challenges within the hospital. The minister assured the public that efforts would be made to improve facilities and services and that accountability would be fixed wherever lapses were identified.
