'Chand Mera Dil' box office collections day 11: Ananya Panday and Lakshya film sees big dip; India net reaches Rs 25.20 cr

Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer ‘Chand Mera Dil’ witnessed a noticeable decline in collections on its eleventh day in theatres. The romantic drama had shown comparatively better movement during the weekend. However, weekday trends brought down the daily figures. According to Sacnilk estimates, the film earned Rs 90 lakhs India net on Day 11. This marks a 50 percent fall from the Rs 1.80 crore collected on Day 10.

India collections continue to rise

The latest earnings have pushed the film’s India net total to Rs 25.20 crore. Meanwhile, India gross collections have now reached Rs 29.79 crore. The Day 11 business came from 2,707 shows running across theatres. Earlier, the film had collected Rs 1.80 crore on Day 10 while recording 15 percent occupancy.Day 11 numbers reflected a more typical weekday pattern. Occupancy reduced to 11 percent as audience turnout slowed compared to the weekend period. ‘Chand Mera Dil’ collected Rs 10 lakhs overseas on Day 11.The latest addition has taken total overseas gross collections to Rs 3.85 crore. Combined with domestic business, worldwide earnings have now touched Rs 33.64 crore. The Hindi version registered an overall occupancy of 12.13 percent on Day 11.Night shows delivered the strongest audience response with 17.38 percent occupancy. Morning shows remained lower at 5.77 percent. Afternoon screenings stood at 12.31 percent, while evening shows recorded 10.92 percent.

‘Chand Mera Dil’ story and ETimes review

The film features Ananya Panday as Chandni and Lakshya as Aarav in the lead roles. Supporting roles are played by Aastha Singh, Paresh Pahuja, Manish Chaudhari and Iravati Harshe Mayadev. The story focuses on two college sweethearts who begin a relationship at a young age and later find themselves dealing with the responsibilities of adult life.ETimes review for the film reads, “Lakshya shines as the romantic hero, while also delivering Aarav’s confusion, insecurity, resentment, regret, and redemption powerfully.
