Jay Z alleges Tony Buzbee created false evidence

Jay Z claims lawyer Tony Buzbee deceived clients and abused his power in lawsuit filed against him

TRIGGER WARNING: The article contains references to rape and abuse.Earlier on, Jay Z had been named in a lawsuit connected to the incarcerated rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. It was alleged that he had been involved in raping a woman along with Diddy. The rapper, however, has denied all claims and, as per the latest updates, has even accused the lawyer of tampering with the case. Here’s what we know so far about the matter.

Jay Z accuses lawyer Tony Buzbee of deceiving clients

RadarOnline reported that lawyer Tony Buzbee and his team allegedly got the victim in the lawsuit, who remains unnamed, to withdraw the case, and also claimed that Jay Z had sent her death threats. Citing this, Jay Z continued to stand by his innocence in the matter and stated that he made no such threats to the person involved in the case. He has alleged that the threats were introduced to tilt the case’s perspective; however, they were supposedly a move made by the lawyer to tip the scales. He has instead claimed that it was Buzbee and his legal team that had been attempting to bury the case before any investigation was launched into his activities as a lawyer. After the lawsuit was filed, the rapper continued to claim that he was innocent. He even filed his own lawsuit against the lawyer and the alleged victim in the matter. A statement from Jay Z’s lawyer from the report read, “Defendant Fortney falsely (and outrageously) even told Doe that Carter had threatened to kill her in order to convince her to dismiss the Underlying Action, so that he and Buzbee could avoid sanctions for their unauthorized practice of law.”The report also cited that Buzbee allegedly used the official credentials of a New York attorney in order to file lawsuits. The rapper’s claims cited that Tony was not technically allowed to file such cases in the state; however, he was able to do so because of this incident.

More details about the lawsuit against Jay Z

The allegations in his lawsuit against the two of them included “malicious prosecution, abuse of process, and civil conspiracy.” He also filed a separate defamation lawsuit against the unnamed person as well. While their lawsuit was dismissed in 2025 as per their filings, Jay Z continued his claims that the lawyer had allegedly abused his power to deceive clients.Disclaimer: The information in this report is based on a legal hearing as reported by a third-party source.
