In a proactive move highlighting accountability, Pushkar Singh Dhami personally visited a complainant who had raised an issue through the CM Helpline 1905 in Uttarakhand. Skipping a scheduled review meeting, the Chief Minister reached ground zero in Dehradun’s Rajpur Road, Jakhan area to inspect the complaint firsthand. The issue involved poorly installed underground electricity cables that were not properly covered, posing potential safety risks. During the inspection, Dhami observed visible flaws, including exposed cables and possible hazards like electric shocks. He acknowledged negligence in the work and immediately contacted concerned officials, directing them to fix the issue promptly. He also emphasized the lack of coordination among departments, noting repeated digging and improper restoration work. After interacting with the complainant and assessing the situation, Dhami returned to the सचिवालय and instructed officials to treat all helpline complaints with seriousness. He warned that failure to resolve public grievances would lead to strict accountability, reinforcing the government’s commitment to responsive governance.
