Toyota Innova HycrossToyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday announced recorded cumulative sales of 2 lakh units of the Toyota Innova HyCross in India, marking a key milestone for the hybrid multi-purpose vehicle nearly three and a half years after its launch in November 2022.
The Innova HyCross has emerged as a strong contributor in the premium MPV segment, supported by rising demand for hybrid vehicles and a shift among buyers towards fuel-efficient alternatives in higher price brackets.
The hybrid variant combines a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a peak output of 186 PS, while the conventional petrol version produces 174 PS.
The company’s hybrid system allows extended electric-only driving under certain conditions, aiding fuel efficiency in urban use.
Priced from ₹19.53 lakh (ex-showroom), the Innova HyCross also holds a 5-star safety rating under India’s Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) regime, placing it among the safer offerings in its segment.
“This milestone also reflects growing customer trust in Toyota’s self-charging hybrid technology, along with the brand’s commitment to design, performance, comfort, and reliability,” said Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice-President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
