Shubhanshu Shukla Receives Warm Welcome At City Montessori School, Interacts With Students | Watch

Shubhanshu Shukla, an alumnus of the City Montessori School (CMS) Aliganj, received warm welcome by the students.

IAF Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who recently became the first Indian to visit the International Space Station (ISS) as part of an Axiom-4 mission, on Tuesday received a warm welcome at the City Montessori School (CMS), Aliganj in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. His wife was also present with him and the couple interacted with the students.

Shukla is an alumnus of the City Montessori School (CMS) Aliganj campus. During his visit to the school campus, the Indian astronaut also interacted with the teachers.

Talking to reporters, Shukla said, “It feels very good to be here. This is the same classroom where I studied. It feels like coming home.”

The students also explained their science projects to him. Reacting to the students’ efforts, Shukla talked to them and explained how they can scale their project and potentially solve a national issue.

The school administration further took his hand impression to get them framed.

Meanwhile, Shukla on Monday received a rousing reception in his hometown Lucknow with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announcing a scholarship in his name for students pursuing space technology.

Shukla, who returned to India from the US on August 17 following his 18-day mission, visited his hometown for the first time since the historic spaceflight.

He also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on August 18 before attending a series of outreach events in the capital.
