A major security breach occurred at the juvenile observation home in R. S. Pura, Jammu, where three inmates escaped on Monday evening around 5:05 PM. The escapees include two Pakistani nationals — Ehsan Anwar from Nankana Sahib and Mohammad Sanaullah from Muzaffarabad — along with a local resident, Karanjit Singh. According to reports, an altercation broke out inside the facility, after which the three inmates allegedly attacked police personnel on duty. They reportedly opened fire with a pistol and used a sharp object during the assault, injuring at least two officers. CCTV footage captured the attack and their subsequent escape. After overpowering the guards, the trio fled through the main gate and escaped on a motorcycle toward nearby fields. Following the incident, senior police officials reached the spot and launched a massive search operation across suspected locations. Authorities have suspended six police personnel for negligence. The juvenile home houses 26 minors, and security arrangements are now under review as the manhunt continues.
