A major development from Maharashtra: senior leader Ajit Pawar will be laid to rest today in Baramati with full state honors. His final procession will begin between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, allowing the public to pay their last respects, while the cremation will take place at 11:00 AM at Vidya Pratishthan Ground. Thousands of supporters and well-wishers from across Maharashtra have gathered in Baramati for his final darshan. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President Nitin Naveen, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and the entire Maharashtra cabinet will attend the funeral. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has also reached Baramati, met Ajit Pawar’s family, and will be present at the last rites. He offered condolences to Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar and his sons. Ajit Pawar died yesterday in a tragic plane crash in which five others also lost their lives. Following the incident, a wave of grief spread across the state and the country. The Maharashtra government has announced three days of state mourning. Heavy security arrangements have been made, and the administration is on high alert to manage the large crowd expected during the final journey and funeral ceremony.
