Antara Cruises launches ‘Antara Events’ for bespoke celebrations along the Ganges

Antara Cruises, India’s leading luxury river cruise brand, has introduced Antara Events—a new concept designed to redefine the way celebrations and gatherings are hosted along the Ganges. The service offers bespoke event experiences aboard the all-suite boutique vessel, MV Bengal Ganga, blending Antara’s signature hospitality with custom-crafted itineraries.

MV Bengal Ganga, inspired by traditional Burmese river vessels and 1970s design aesthetics, exudes a sense of nostalgia and sophistication. The vessel features 20 well-appointed suites, expansive lounges, and wide teakwood sundecks, creating a refined setting for intimate celebrations. Its open-air deck offers panoramic river views, providing a striking backdrop for ceremonies, receptions, or cocktail evenings.

The ship also includes a fully equipped lounge with audiovisual facilities and Wi-Fi, making it ideal for corporate meetings, off-site retreats, product launches, and team-building activities within a private, club-like setting.

Reflecting Antara Cruises’ philosophy of all-inclusive hospitality, Antara Events ensures guests enjoy a seamless and immersive experience. “From the moment guests step aboard, they are immersed in a world of curated dining experiences – from hyperlocal, regional to international delicacies, wellness offerings including revitalizing spa treatments and invigorating sunrise yoga sessions, and engaging onboard activities led by seasoned experts. These elements converge to ensure a seamless and memorable event for every guest,” said Raj Singh, Founder Chairman of Antara Cruises.

Each event is entirely customizable—from décor, dining, and music to onboard experiences and sailing routes—crafted in collaboration with hosts and event designers. For shorter celebrations, the ship offers three-hour sailings, while multi-night voyages explore historic riverfront towns and cultural heritage sites. For multi-day charters, Antara Events also offers unique Sandbank Parties, where guests can celebrate on secluded riverbanks under the stars.

“At Antara Cruises, we don’t just host events; we curate legacies,” added Singh. “Our commitment is to meticulously craft each occasion, ensuring it resonates with the host’s unique vision and unfolds against the stunning backdrop of the Ganges.”

Operating from Kolkata, MV Bengal Ganga is available for private charters to host milestone celebrations, including weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, and family gatherings—reimagining the art of celebration on India’s most iconic river.
