Sonam Kapoor, Carrying Elephant Pouch With Traditional Outfit, Is Setting Trends

Sonam Kapoor has often opened up about her maximalist sense of fashion and styling. Be it about adorning the walls of her luxe home or turning heads on global platforms, the actress continues to show her love and appreciation for traditional ensembles, accessories and more. For her cousin, Anshula Kapoor’s engagement ceremony, she dolled up in yet another stunning ensemble, highlighting her love for Indian craftsmanship.

On Instagram, Sonam Kapoor dropped a series of pictures wearing a custom Siddhartha Bansal ensemble that simply blended vintage flair and maximalist mischief. Styled by Rhea Kapoor and Sanya Kapoor, the piece featured a chintz top with a glazed twist on nostalgia and grit, alongside voluminous bottoms that showcased the fearless silhouettes of rural Indian streets.

As per the designer, Sonam’s bandhgala jacket is inspired by the architectural patterns of the jharokhas of Jodhpur with batua-styled pockets. Altogether, the look blending Indian crafts with contemporary silhouettes got the art and edge dialled up together.

The actress, known for championing Indian designers and traditional aesthetics, paired her outfit with elements from India’s rich heritage. The intricate patterns and the rich, earthy colour of her attire were perfectly complemented by her choice of silver accessories. It included two statement necklaces, matching jhoomar earrings, statement rings and broad payals.

Additionally, she was seen carrying a striking element – a large, intricately designed elephant-shaped bag from ABHILASHA Jewelry Collection, a Jaipur-based jewellery shop specialising in Tribal & Vintage silver, upcycling vintage, Victorian Ornaments. The arm candy was further accompanied by multiple tassels, which added to her overall aesthetic.

To complement her vintage-themed look, Sonam went for a dewy foundation base. Her facial features were further highlighted with a dollop of blush on her cheeks and kohl-rimmed eyes. Brown, smudgy eyeshadow and defined brows added elegance to her overall charm. A neatly combed bun hairdo finished off her look for the day.

The actress is known for her contemporary fashion choices. Previously, to grace an event, the actress wore an Anamika Khanna ensemble featuring an intricately designed jacket layered with a white top, which also featured a wrap-around detail.

Sonam complemented her look with silver accessories that included a brooch, long earrings and a stylish clutch.
