Repetto, Jacquemus, Bad Bunny… five shoe collaborations to discover from the office to the beach

To liven up the summer holidays, footwear and trainer collaborations keep coming thick and fast. From Jacquemus to Super Mario, the scope of these creative partnerships- perfect for both the holidays and the new academic year- is as vast as the beaches of the West Coast… Here’s a look at FashionNetwork.com’s selection of these limited-edition pieces.

Birkenstock and Repetto join forces for the first time with a capsule collection that pairs one brand’s ergonomic expertise with the other’s dance-world codes. Designed in Paris by Birkenstock 1774 (the German brand’s division dedicated to special projects) and manufactured in its German factories, the range reimagines three iconic silhouettes. The capsule features the Arizona sandal with oversized round buckles, the Scala- characterised by a rounded toe and a knotted lace reminiscent of a ballet slipper- and the Opéra clog (derived from the Boston model), fitted with long, removable ribbons to tie around the ankle. 

All styles are built on Birkenstock’s anatomical cork footbed, here finished with a Vichy-check lining- a historic signature of the French house. Available in sizes 35 to 42, the collection comes in three of Repetto’s hallmark colours: iconic pink, fiery red, and deep black. This global launch goes live on Thursday on the Birkenstock 1774 website, on Repetto’s online shop, and at selected partner retailers.

Why stop at one? Jacquemus and Timberland unveil their second joint project of summer 2026, reimagining one of the American brand’s signature styles. Following their first collaboration, the two labels reunite to reinterpret the traditional boat shoe in a monochrome lagoon-blue colourway, a shade borrowed from Simon Porte Jacquemus’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, ‘Le Bonheur.’ This tone takes direct inspiration from Art Deco architecture and the Memphis design movement of the 1980s.

Technically, the silhouette incorporates Timberland’s hallmarks: a full-grain leather upper, a leather lining and the brand’s lugged outsole. Jacquemus adds its signature through subtle details, including customised eyelets, lace tips and metal charms. This model will retail for 250 euros from Friday via both brands’ online shops, as well as through their physical retail networks.

Converse and Tyler, The Creator continue their fruitful creative partnership, once again delving into the brand’s archives via the ‘1908’ range. This season, the American artist’s label Golf le Fleur puts its spin on a hardwood classic: the Pro Leather, originally launched in 1976. Inspired by b-boy aesthetics and custom culture, this reinterpretation features exaggerated proportions with a widened toe box, oversized eyelets, thick laces, and an embossed star on the upper.

Crafted from premium full-grain leather, it retains its retro DNA whilst incorporating subtle Golf le Fleur branding. The Pro Leather arrives in two colourways, ‘White’ and ‘Amazon.’ Rounding out the drop, the Converse 1908 Jogger- a retro, low-top runner- also returns in a pared-back black or white leather finish. Both models will be available internationally from Thursday.

Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny continues his collaboration with Adidas, which began in March 2021. The artist, who has been making waves from the White House to the Super Bowl stage, is set to release a model in two colourways for the summer holidays. On Saturday, the Bad Bunny F50 Ghost Sprint drops- a flat, football-inspired lifestyle trainer available in a white-to-purple gradient with a fine blue mesh overlay, or in fluorescent yellow with brown details, also featuring a fine yellow mesh overlay.

This new pair of trainers, priced at 160 euros, complements a wider selection of pieces released to coincide with the singer’s international tour. Already available, the merch capsule includes jackets, jerseys and T-shirts inspired by the Bad Bunny archives, printed with the names of the tour’s European cities: Paris, Marseille, London, Milan, Lisbon, Düsseldorf, Warsaw, and Madrid.

This summer, Nintendo and Crocs strengthen their partnership with the launch of a global capsule collection dedicated to the world of Super Mario. Having previously won over younger audiences, notably with the light-up ‘Fun Lab’ range launched in 2021, the two giants are this time targeting adults with five iterations of the iconic moulded plastic clog, priced between 69.99 and 79.99 euros.

Unveiled on Wednesday, this capsule spotlights character design: the Mario model features his famous red cap as a plush accent on the strap, whilst Bowser is adorned with 3D embossed spikes. Yoshi appears in vivid green and Princess Peach takes on a glittery pink Platform silhouette. A wide selection of customisable Jibbitz pins, featuring stars and characters, accompanies this release.
