Amol Parashar’s Mumbai home is a boho-chic haven.

When Amol Parashar isn’t entertaining audiences on screen, he retreats to a home that offers comfort and calm. Known online as a “Zaddy” for his charm, Parashar’s personal space contrasts with his public persona, embracing simplicity and relaxation.

The actor’s living room is the heart of the home, filled with books, plants, and natural light. “Mostly yahan baithta hoon main; TV dekhta hoon, sochta hoon, kitaab padhta hoon, yahin let jaata hoon,” he shared. The space feels open, a refreshing change from his earlier, more compact Mumbai apartments. Large glass windows lead to a private terrace, bringing a sense of freedom. “It’s lit… jaise ki aaj kal ke jazzy log bolte hain,” he joked while giving a house tour to Pinkvilla.

A Green, Boho-Inspired Interior

Parashar admits there was no formal design plan, yet the home reflects a subtle theme: greens, blues, wooden textures, and casual boho elements. “Couch pe already thodi green wali vibe thi… maine bas us theme mein actual paudhe daal diye,” he said. Over time, plants naturally grew in the space, reflecting his personal affinity rather than a stylistic choice.

A corner holds a guitar, which serves more as a memory than a musical instrument. “Gift mila tha… lockdown ke first day pe… seekhna shuru kiya… aur lockdown khatam hua, toh woh jo josh tha woh fade out ho gaya,” Parashar shared. The subtle aroma of curated candles and diffusers adds a sensory touch. “Smell bhi ek important sense hai jo hum ignore kar dete hain,” he said.

Books, Collectables, and Creative Corners

The home is adorned with “chhoti chhoti cheezein,” including action figures, gifted paintings, and a shelf of treasured but unread books. “Some are gifts, some recommended, some khud se li… aur abhi padhi nahi hain,” he explained.

The round wooden dining table is not just for meals. Parashar uses it for deep discussions, writing sessions, and creative huddles. “90% meals hoti hain… but conversations bhi hote hain; deep discussions on scripts, writing.” Nearby, his awards sit alongside a sleek bar inspired by childhood fantasies. “Mera running joke hai, yeh do tarah ke nashae hain, ek drink aur ek award!” he said.

Minimal Bedroom, Expansive Terrace

The bedroom is minimalistic, a personal cocoon with just essentials: “bed, AC, fan, books, Netflix.” Bookshelves dominate, storing scripts, diaries, and sunglasses. “At the end of the day… aapko ek cocoon chahiye hota hai… yeh room mujhe woh feeling deta hai,” he said.

The private terrace transforms the home into a secret getaway. “Bombay mein terrace mil jaana… that’s luxury,” he remarked. From fairy-lit parties to solitary coffee evenings, the space is versatile. A bench from his show Besharam Aadmi adds a theatrical touch.

A Home that Reflects His Personality

“Thoda zyaada space hai ek aadmi ke liye, but I like that. Friends, family ke liye bhi jagah hai… everything here reflects my taste,” Parashar said. From cosy corners to a rooftop garden, the actor’s home perfectly balances comfort, creativity, and style.
