The Jharkhand student protest in Ranchi has entered its 12th day, with students continuing their agitation against alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations. Devendra Mahato and other students are demanding cancellation of disputed exams, a CBI investigation instead of a CID probe, transparency in the recruitment process, and reforms in examination bodies. Support for the movement has increased, with activist Sonam Wangchuk extending support and advising students to continue their fast with water, honey, and salt. Abhijeet Deepke has also announced support and plans to visit Ranchi. At the protest site, separate groups representing different ideologies are present, but students insist that the movement should remain non-political. Several social groups and IITians are also reportedly supporting the agitation. Students allege repeated paper leaks and corruption in recruitment exams, claiming their careers have been affected. The protesters say they want a fair system, accountability, and direct dialogue with the government. Meanwhile, the crowd at the protest site continues to grow as demands for action intensify.
