The Jharkhand student protest over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations continues for the 12th day in Ranchi. Students are demanding a CBI investigation, cancellation of disputed exams, and direct communication with the government. Responding to the growing protest, JMM spokesperson Manoj Pandey said that there will be no CBI inquiry or resignation from the government side. He stated that the government has already taken action, with 14 people arrested, the JPSC chairman resigning, and further investigation underway through CID. JMM said dialogue with students will happen, but the government wants its actions to build confidence first. Rejecting opposition demands for a CBI probe, JMM defended the CID investigation and accused the BJP of raising the issue for political reasons. The party also highlighted previous controversies during BJP governments, claiming that past exam-related allegations were ignored. Meanwhile, students remain firm on their demands, arguing that only an independent probe and reforms can restore trust in the recruitment system.
