Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district have announced a reward of ₹50,000 each on four named accused, including Shankar Pandey, in connection with the high-profile Vineet Rai murder case. The incident took place on May 29, and despite multiple police teams being deployed, the accused have not yet been arrested. An FIR has been registered against four named individuals and three unidentified persons. According to officials, investigations are ongoing, but the suspects remain absconding, prompting increased pressure on law enforcement agencies. The victim’s family has repeatedly demanded strict action and had earlier sought an encounter of the accused. Police officials have assured the family that efforts are being made to trace and arrest the suspects at the earliest. Senior officers have also met the family to reassure them about the progress of the investigation. With no arrests made so far, the case has drawn public attention, and police continue to intensify search operations across multiple locations.
