Breaking News: Major police action in Patna NEET student death case, two SHOs suspended

In the Patna NEET student death case, the police administration has taken major disciplinary action against two station in-charges for alleged negligence. Kadamkuan Police Station in-charge Hemant Jha has been suspended after serious lapses were found in handling the case. Along with him, Chitragupt Nagar Police Station SHO Roshni Kumari has also been suspended for dereliction of duty. According to senior officials, despite the sensitive and serious nature of the incident, both officers failed to respond promptly and follow standard operating procedures. Their inaction raised concerns within the police department and triggered an internal review. The decision to suspend the officers was taken after preliminary findings indicated administrative negligence. The death of the NEET aspirant had sparked public outrage and raised questions about student safety and police accountability in Patna. Family members of the deceased had accused the police of ignoring crucial information and delaying action, demanding strict punishment against those responsible. Police authorities stated that the suspensions are part of efforts to ensure transparency and restore public trust. The administration has made it clear that negligence in sensitive cases will not be tolerated. Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the student’s death is currently underway, and officials have assured that additional action will be taken if more lapses come to light.
