The high-stakes meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has officially begun under the chairmanship of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Although the meeting was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM, it commenced after a delay of nearly 30 minutes. The sole agenda of the meeting is to decide on the resignations of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra following the alleged Ram Temple donation theft controversy. In a significant development, both Champat Rai and Anil Mishra skipped the meeting despite being present in Ayodhya. Sources said neither attended the session nor formally informed the Trust about their absence. The meeting proceeded without waiting for either of them. According to sources, Trust Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri presented the agenda before the members, who have now begun deliberations on whether to accept the resignations. The discussion is also expected to include references to the SIT investigation into the alleged donation theft. Sources maintain that both resignations are likely to be accepted. Apart from the Trust members, several senior leaders associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the RSS are also present in the Ram Temple complex, indicating that additional organizational decisions may follow after the meeting. The Trust is expected to issue an official press statement at around 5:00 PM, announcing the decisions taken during the meeting.
