Thalapathy Vijay’s old speech on parents’ love marriage resurfaces

Thalapathy Vijay’s old speech on parents’ love marriage resurfaces; ‘My parents never restricted me’

After actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay created history by becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, many old interviews and speeches of the popular star have started going viral again on social media. Fans are now revisiting several emotional and inspiring moments from Vijay’s past life and cinema journey. Among them, one particular statement about his parents’ interfaith marriage has grabbed major attention online. The old speech is now being widely shared by fans, who feel it reflects Vijay’s personal beliefs about unity, respect, and family values. The resurfaced clip has once again shown a softer and more emotional side of the newly elected Chief Minister.

Vijay spoke proudly about his parents’ love marriage

During an old interview for the film ‘Beast’ with director Nelson Dilipkumar, Vijay opened up about his family background and his parents’ marriage. He shared how his mother, singer Shoba Chandrasekhar, is Hindu, while his father, director S. A. Chandrasekhar, is Christian. Vijay said they fell in love and got married without letting religion become a barrier between them. He also explained that his parents never forced any religious restrictions on him while growing up. “They never told me to go only here or there. I was raised with complete freedom,” Vijay had said during the interview. He added that he now follows the same values while raising his own children.

Vijay’s faith in all religions earned praise from fans

The same interview also revealed Vijay’s spiritual side. Director Nelson shared an incident from the sets of ‘Beast’ where Vijay suddenly disappeared for some time after dinner and later revealed that he had gone to a church to pray for the entire team. Vijay later explained that he feels the same divine energy in every place of worship. “Going to church gives me peace. I have also visited temples and dargahs. Everywhere, I feel the same positivity,” he had shared.Vijay even mentioned visiting famous temples like Pillayarpatti and Tirunallar, along with the Ameenpeer Dargah in Kadapa, during the shooting of ‘Kaththi’. Fans are now praising these old statements and calling them proof of Vijay’s inclusive mindset.

‘Jana Nayagan’ delayed for release

Meanwhile, Vijay’s farewell film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has been delayed for release because of its censor struggle. Directed by H Vinoth, the commercial entertainer also features Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, and others. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the battle for the film’s OTT deal heated up after Vijay’s political success. Go to Source
