Friends star Lisa Kudrow recalls eerie moments after her mother Nedra Stern’s death, says she believes her late mom ‘texted’ her from beyond: ‘It happened three times’

Friends star Lisa Kudrow has shared a deeply personal experience that she believes could have been a sign from her late mother, Nedra Stern, after her death in 2020.Speaking on Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown podcast, the actress, best known for playing the quirky Phoebe Buffay in the hit sitcom Friends, recalled a series of unexplained incidents that left her wondering whether her mother had somehow reached out to her from beyond.

Lisa Kudrow says everyone except her was awake when her mother passed away

Lisa revealed that her mother passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recalling the night of her death, she said almost every member of the family happened to be awake.”My brother was up when he got the call. My father was awake, my husband was awake, and an alarm went off at my sister’s house, so she and her husband were awake too,” Lisa said, adding that she only woke up because her brother called her.As her family shared their experiences later, Lisa joked that it felt as though her mother’s energy had “woken everyone up”, except her.”I said, ‘It wasn’t weird. She flew around and woke everyone up when she passed… except she didn’t wake me up.’ I remember thinking, ‘Am I annoying? I am left out of things a lot,'” she said.

The mysterious ‘MOM’ text that appeared on her phone

A couple of days after the funeral, while preparing a slideshow in her mother’s memory, Lisa noticed something unusual on her phone. She said she was only replying to messages when, without typing anything herself, the word “MOM” suddenly appeared in a text box. “I didn’t write that. Delete. Delete. Delete,” she recalled thinking.According to Lisa, it happened again, and then a third time.Still upset that she believed her mother had “visited” everyone else but not her, Lisa later mentioned the strange phone behaviour to her husband. After hearing what had happened, her husband and friends responded with a surprising interpretation.”They said, ‘Lisa, your mom texted you from beyond,'” she shared.

Another unexplained sign during lockdown

The unexplained incidents did not stop there.During the lockdown, Lisa said she was texting a friend when “XOXOXO” suddenly appeared in the message box, even though she hadn’t typed it. At first, she dismissed it because her mother had never ended messages that way. However, a day later, her father showed her an old letter written by her mother, and nearly half the page was filled with repeated “XOXOXOXO”.

A birthday message she believes may have come from her mother

Lisa also recalled another unusual incident on her 60th birthday when she found a string of random letters in a text box. Although she admitted the letters could have meant almost anything, after rearranging them she felt they resembled a birthday greeting. She also noted that she affectionately calls her son Julian “JU” and believed the message may have included a reference to him. This time, she took a screenshot. While Lisa acknowledged there could be many explanations for the incidents, she said she remains open to the possibility that they meant something more.”While we don’t know what it is, we know it’s something. Telepathy or not, they are communicating in another realm, dimension, or something… Why would you want to shut it down?” she said. Go to Source
