Shahid Kapoor questions 'A' certificate from CBFC for 'Cocktail 2' co-starring Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna: 'I'm figuring out why, film mein aisa kuch nai hai..'

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Cocktail 2’ has released in cinemas today, on June 19. The film got A certificate from the censor board and a recent viral video of Shahid shows the actor clarifying on it. For those not in the know, this is Shahid’s fifth ‘A’ rated film after ‘Kaminey’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘O’Romeo’. Now in this video, which seemingly is from Shahid’s interaction with fans, he questions why ‘Cocktail 2’ has got an adult certificate and clarifies that the film has nothing which people would find objectionable.Shahid said in this video, “Iss film ke andar koi bhi aisi cheez nahi hai jisse aap ko aapati ho sakti hai. I know we have gotten an A-certificate; I am figuring out why. Mujhe samaj mein nahi aaya. Iss film mein teen logon ki kahaani hai. Sabke saath dekh sakte hain. I hope you walk out with a big smile thinking about life. Zindagi mein aise kayin moments hai jiski wajah se zindagi special hoti hai aur Cocktail uss Tarah ki film hai joh aapko woh yaad dilaati hai,” he said. He further expressed gratitude to all the fans for love and support.Directed by Homi Adajania and co-written by Luv Ranjan, ‘Cocktail 2’ serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit ‘Cocktail’, which starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty.
